Bicycle Superhighway – Germany is taking its well-known Autobahn to an entirely new level by making one for cyclists and putting its pedals where its mouth is and opening its first bicycle-only highway. A three-mile stretch of protected roadway that is closed to cars and other motor vehicles. They are on the way to building a 100km long super highway for bicycles only, and bike lovers can already cycle the first five kilometers. Therefore, the highway will eventually connect 10 western cities including Duisburg, Bochum, and Hamm.
